I only had the one pint in here over the weekend but it was clear in that time that this is a pub with a good following in the community, which is always good to see.

4 ales on handpull made it a very welcome destination. It was a hive of activity with the Xmas decorations being put up and a few folk in to watch the early match of the day, for which there are a number of TVs.

Service was welcoming and I'll be making every effort to stop in again when next in Dundee.

Great space, friendly and jovial clientele of mostly 40-something men & women, pleasant barkeeps, and a variety of different "rooms," from the mirrored, sit-down, carpeted end with the chandelier, to the more rowdy, standing-room-only, sports pub end with the enormous TV, all blend together to make the Taybridge a great local pub. Noisy, yes, but not because of music - just chatty, happy folks.

Special bonus feature: ingeniously designed no-splash urinals in the men's toilet.

Used to be one of the busiest and best pubs in the area, but after a sale to a brewers and then onto a private individual/comapny it went a bit downhill. Must say it is getting slightly better and some of the old regulars are moving back. It's taking a while to get back to what it was years ago but still worth a visit in the passing to see some of the original features. Sometimes lacks a bit of atmosphere

What a difference the new refurbishment has made. Welcoming with an excellent gantry, choice of ales and good bar food.  The disabled facilities ensure a five star rating ... Well done
